The Koto is a traditional Japanese harp.

The Koto is a wooden zither strung with 13 strings.

The performer wears finger picks on their thumb, index, and middle fingers with which they sound the strings.

By moving the adjustable bridges placed along each string, one can freely change the pitch.
One attractive feature of the Koto is that even beginners can immediately produce sounds from the strings with little effort.
